Nurse Gets one Month Jailed For Stealing Mobile Phone

Eighteen years old Elizabeth Konneh a nurse made her first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road court no.2 in Freetown, on a count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, on Tuesday 11th June 2025 at Crabtown Aberdeen in the western area of Freetown did steal by trick a Tecno Spark mobile phone valued two thousand five hundred Leones(2,500) Property of Sheka Papa Sesay.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person she pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh told the Magistrate that fact as charge no previous criminal records against the accused person.

The accused person was not legally represented he pleaded with the Magistrate to temper justice with mercy on his behalf.

Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person and she is a first time offender, she does not wasted the court’s time at all. Magistrate Fornah sentenced her to thirty days to the Female Correctional Facility in Freetown or pay a fine of one thousand Leones to the state
