The Co-founder of One Mobile Company, David Kpakima, has disclosed that the One Mobile 5G network is one hundred times faster than all other existing networks in Sierra Leone.
Speaking during a recent engagement with the media at the company’s head office in Freetown, Mr. Kpakima revealed that One Mobile operates the only standalone 5G network in the entire West African sub-region, making Sierra Leone one of the first countries to benefit from such advanced technology.
According to him, the One Mobile 5G network delivers speeds that is over 100 Mbps, allowing subscribers to stream live videos, download large files, browse the web, and carry out all online activities without interruptions. He added that the technology is designed to provide uninterrupted internet experience with no connectivity breakdowns or buffering delays.
Mr. Kpakima further explained that since One Mobile began operations in Sierra Leone, the company has successfully expanded its coverage to almost every part of Freetown and several areas within the provinces.
“It’s just a matter of time soon, we will be everywhere in the country our team is working round the clock to ensure that we deliver on this promise,” he assured.
He emphasized that One Mobile’s mission is to provide a lasting solution to the country’s internet connectivity challenges.
“We take our time with tower installations because we want Sierra Leoneans to get exactly what they pay for If you subscribe for one month, you should get one month of uninterrupted 5G data. If you subscribe for one week, you’ll enjoy a full week of consistent internet access without any premature disconnections,” he stated.
Mr. Kpakima also stressed that despite offering premium, high-speed services, One Mobile remains committed to affordability.
“We want every Sierra Leonean to understand that internet service is not a luxury.
