APC PRO Sent to Jail

Mohamed Moriba a politician, Ex-military officer and the Southern province Public Relations Officer PRO for the All Peoples Congress party made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road court No.2 in Freetown on a count charge to wit incitement contrary to law.

According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 27th December 2025 at Kamalo Village, Karene District in the Nort- East province of the Republic of Sierra Leone, the defendant created an audio and video clip with inciting content in a bid to cause mayhem, disorder, chaos and unrest in the country which Salone Gossip Social Media Hub posted in their TikTok account.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant in court, no plea was taken.

The prosecutor intimated the bench that they have served the defense a copy of their file, the defence on the other hand confirmed receipt of a copy of the file and they further asked for a short adjournment date to go through the file.  The lead defence counsel M.A Kamara Esq applied for bail for and on behalf of the defendant that he is a peaceful citizen of Sierra Leone who has reliable sureties to stand in his recognisance if granted bail and he will not jump bail or interfere with the prosecution witness or witnesses. He assured that court that; the accuse will appear in court on every adjournment date as he made his application pursuant to 76 (1) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2024.

Meanwhile Magistrate Fornah having hard the bail application of the defendant and pursued the affidavit in opposition to bail filed by the prosecutor he hereby refuses bail and adjourned the matter to the 28th January 2026.
