Forty years old Lamin Dabor a Sierra Leone travel consultant based in UAE has been sent to Pademba Road prison by Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown, on nine count charge one count of conspiracy and eight ranging from Obtaining Money by false pretense contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offense, on diver’s date between 14th May 2024 to September 17th 2025 at #19 Falcon Street the western area in Freetown conspired together and with other persons unknown to commit a crime to wit obtaining money by false pretenses.
Count two further stated that, at the above place on the 14th May 2024 the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of three thousand Leones (3,000) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
Count three further stated that, on the above date and place the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of two thousand Leones (2,000) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
Count four further stated that, at the above place on the 8th July 2024 the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of nineteen thousand Leones (19,000) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
Count five further stated that, at the above place on the 14th July the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of one thousand Leones (1,000) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
Count six further stated that, at the above place on the 19th July 2025 the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of seven hundred Leones (700) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
Count seven also stated that, at the above place on the 16th September 2025 the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of three hundred and ninety-eight Leones (398) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
Count eight further stated that, at the above place on the 17th September 2025 the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of eight thousand Leones (8,000) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
Count nine further stated on the above date and place the defendant with intent to defraud obtained the sum of five thousand five hundred and seven Leones (5,507) from Isha Titi Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate her travel to Canada knowing same to be false.
When the charges were read and explained to the defendant no plea was taken.
Meanwhile magistrate Fornah refused bail and sent the defendant to the male correctional facility in Freetown matter adjourned to the 18th March 2026 sergeant 8811 Florence M Wilison prosecuted the matter.
