In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and appreciation, DIB Ladies 4 Change presented Ramadan gifts, known as “Sunakati,” to mosques in the Wilberforce and Imatt communities. The presentation ceremony was held at the DIB Secretariat in Wilberforce, Freetown, and was attended by representatives from Light of Islam Wilberforce, Masjid Mugbarak Wilberforce, Imatt, and the APC Women’s Congress Mosque.
The of DIB Ladies 4 Change expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Ibrahim Bangura for his unwavering efforts in empowering grassroots communities and advancing the All People’s Congress (APC). They commended his dedication to serving ordinary citizens and praised his inclusive leadership style, which continues to inspire many supporters, particularly women and young people.
Receiving the gifts, Hon. Nuru Deen Ella expressed sincere appreciation to DIB Ladies 4 Change for their thoughtful initiative and applauded their unity and commitment to promoting togetherness. The Head of Administration, Francis Musa, oversaw the distribution of the bags of rice, emphasizing that the gesture was rooted in community solidarity rather than political intent, while also requesting continued prayers for DIB leadership.
The religious leaders, in turn, offered special prayers for Dr. Bangura and pledged to keep him in their supplications, expressing deep appreciation for the kind gesture and reaffirming their support. The event, held during the sacred period of Ramadan, underscored the values of compassion, unity, and service to community.
