The much-publicized 70 Thousand Leones Jagaban Trophy 2026 organized by the Kossoh Town Sport Promoters in the name of APC flagbearer aspirant Mohamed Omodu Kamara aka Jagaban has ended in controversy as the best Team Manager Still remained Unpaid.
The winner of the Best Team Manager award, Abdoulai Bangura, whose certificate dated 18/7/2026 went viral, has told this medium that out of the promised Le70,000, only Le10,000 was given to them.
According to Abdulai, the remaining balance of Le60,000 is still outstanding, and all his efforts to reach the organizers and the sponsor have been unsuccessful.
“I have tried calling them several times for the balance, but to no avail,” Abdulai lamented.
Pattern of Unfulfilled Promises?
The aggrieved team manager further alleged that this is not an isolated case, claiming that the APC aspirant has developed a pattern of making promises without fulfilling them.
According to Abdulai, he and his team went to the residence of Jagaban regarding this matter, but he was very arrogant and disrespectful to them.
It is not a secret that during a local television interview Jagaban claimed that he gave money to APC executives for the completion of the APC party office in Makeni is being described as untrue by the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary Mohamed Pope Kamara and other grassroots members.
“The office in Makeni is still not completed. If he says he gave money for it, where is the money? Where is the completed office?” They questioned.
Abdulai and other concerned youths in Kossoh Town are now openly asking a critical political question: “How can Sierra Leoneans or the APC trust such a person to run the 2028 election as flagbearer when small promises like a community trophy cannot be fulfilled?”
They argue that leadership is tested by faithfulness in small things, and that a flagbearer who wants to lead the nation must first show integrity at the grassroots level.
As of press time, all efforts to get a response from Mohamed Omodu Kamara aka Jagaban and the Kossoh Town Sport Promoters proved futile. This medium remains open to publish their own side of the story.
