As the future of the Youths of Sierra Leone keeps running down the drained like a river flowing during the raining season due to the rapid intake of kush and other harmful drugs, many are pondering if the future of our youth have been sold in a wrap of kush
Kush first started surfacing in the country as a joke with state authorities paying less attention to it, not realizing that Kush is not just a drug but a dangerous weapon wrapped in smoke and indifference.
As time keeps flying, the killer drug has taken over our streets, our neighborhoods, our homes, and synthetic poison started wiping out an entire generation, Youth with bright futures are now shadows of themselves with their dreams take from them in exchange of kush with families heart broken And yet, those in power remain silent.
It could be recalled that when Coco Samba became a threat, we all saw the bold and giant step of the government to fastly place a ban on it with immediate effect, even do there were large number of people who were against decision to ban Coco Samba but it has pleases His Excellency to declear zero tolerance on coco Samba.
But Kush walks and sell freely, even do it is sending most of our youth to their early grave with some walking hopelessly like zombies on the streets and towns across Sierra Leone.
Ironically, kush has even started consuming our gallant shoulder and police officers, people who were supposed to fight against it have now started to become victims of it
This has lef somany people speechless with some wondering if government officials are benefiting for it.
Most people believe that with the kind of distraction it is causing, why it’s still having it way in the country or are those at the borders being recruited to smuggling it into the country only God knows
As kush keeps making inroads in the country destroying youths breaking families Sierra Leone’s are still calling on the government to please protect the future of our next generation before it is too late.
