n a bid to enhance visibility and professionalism, the Sierra Leone Immigration Department has introduced new uniforms for all trained personnel.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the Freetown City Council Auditorium, was attended by top government officials, including Minister of Local Government, Emmerson Lamina, and Chief Immigration Officer, Honourable Alusine Kanneh.
Minister Lamina underscored the uniforms’ significance as part of the Department’s rebranding efforts, aimed at increasing public recognition and trust in immigration officers. He emphasized that the new attire would facilitate easier identification, highlighting the Department’s vital role in national security and service delivery.
Chief Immigration Officer Kanneh expressed pride in the uniform launch, describing it as a reflection of the Department’s commitment to modernization and accountability. He noted that the uniforms would foster a sense of unity and professionalism among staff, while making it easier for the public to identify immigration officials in their duties.
