At Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 4, Magistrate Adama Kandeh is a shining example of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to justice. She is performing her duties exceptionally well, and it is high time that the public begins to place greater confidence in the judiciary, especially in strong, principled women like her.
Magistrate Adama Kandeh is not only a kind and approachable person, but she is also firm when it comes to upholding the law. She stands for the truth and is committed to delivering justice without fear or favour. She ensures fairness in court proceedings by guiding both the complainant’s lawyers and the respondent’s lawyers with impartiality and respect.
If Magistrate Kandeh continues on this path delivering justice to those to whom it is due — she will become a beacon of hope within the judiciary. Her integrity and commitment should serve as a model for other magistrates to follow.
When respected magistrates such as Sahr Elogima Kekura and Santigie Ibrahim Sorie Bangura were promoted to High Court Judges, many people expressed concern about whether the judiciary would still have magistrates the public could trust. But with the rise of Magistrate Adama Kandeh, those fears are being put to rest. She has restored public confidence in the lower courts and continues to offer hope to all who appear before her courtroom.
Her love for the job is not just in words it’s in action. In a remarkable show of dedication, Magistrate Kandeh renovated her courtroom and chambers using her own personal funds, transforming Pademba Road Court No. 4 into one of the finest magistrate courts in the country. Lawyers, complainants, and defendants alike appreciate the clean, welcoming, and professional environment she has created.
Her humility, hard work, and unwavering dedication to justice are a true testament to the strength and capability of women in leadership. Indeed, what a man can do, a woman can do and often even better.
