The Rablatulai Group on March 8, 2026, joined the global commemoration of International Women’s Day at the Rablatulai Estate on Sahr Samuel Lewis Road in Freetown.
During the event, Sheikh Abu Bakarr Conteh, former President of the Inter-Religious Council, thanked God for giving them the opportunity to take part in the celebration.
He noted that out of the 114 Surahs in the Holy Qur’an, more than 600 verses speak about women and their importance in society.

Sheikh Conteh also prayed for strength and continued success for the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of the Rablatulai Group, encouraging them to continue their good work in supporting women and the community.
Speaking at the ceremony, the CEO and Co-Founder of Rablatulai Group, Mrs. Haja Mariama Isatu Kabba, said she was delighted to join the celebration of International Women’s Day.
She explained that the theme for this year’s commemoration, “Give to Gain,” is a simple phrase that means when people support others to grow, everyone benefits.
Mrs. Kabba emphasized that women in Sierra Leone play a vital role in national development, serving in different sectors such as labour, education, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and caregiving.
She pointed out that despite their contributions, many women still face challenges, especially in economic empowerment and employment.
“That is why the Rablatulai Group will continue to focus mainly on supporting women’s empowerment,” she said.
She further noted that while the institution focuses on empowering women, it also values gender equality.

According to her, the aim is not only to empower women but also to create an environment where empowered women can support and uplift others. She added that she has been working tirelessly alongside her husband, Alhaji Abubakarr Kabba, to build the institution and promote such initiatives.
Mrs. Kabba described women as the backbone of development and expressed appreciation to friends, partners, and men who continue to support women’s growth and advancement.
One of the beneficiaries, who is also a staff member of the institution, thanked the management of Rablatulai Group for providing them with opportunities and support.
She said the theme “Give to Gain” is truly meaningful and reflects in their lives, noting that through the mentorship and support of the organization, she has been able to assist her family members and others in her community.
The program ended on a joyful note as the CEO and Co-Founder presented gifts to staff members and invited guests
