The most popular All Peoples Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate for the 2028 elections, Alhaji Sheik Mohamed Omodu Jagaban Kamara has asserted, “my candidature is unique because my father is from Port Loko District, my mother from Tonkolili while I was born in the East and grew up in Freetown but all these areas have not produced a President. I am appealing to APC potential flag bearers to come onboard because if we allow the SLPP to win again it will be disaster for the country. Tele-centers are coming up all over the place when other countries are progressing. If the massive poverty in the country is affecting me what about you ordinary people in the diaspora?”
Jagaban made the statement on his birthday on Saturday 13th June 2026 to celebrate a significant milestone-his House Warming & Open House Ceremony at 4004 Diamond Head Avenue, BOWIE, MD, USA.
Speaking to the press, he said that he has created impact in the country within a very short time and urged his compatriots in the diaspora to put their pride aside and forget about decades long alliances with political parties that have failed the people reminding them that their future starts now intimated that The Gambia used to buy stones from Sierra Leone to make roads while Sierra Leone cannot make its own roads and that Guinea’s currency is value than the Leone.
During the ceremony, various speakers offered special prayers for Jagaban for good health, long life and prosperity as they added that Allah just wants Muslims to be thankful to Him for all the many blessings He has bestowed on them.
Others revealed that the magnificent house Jagaban has constructed in America is not only for himself and family but hundreds of Sierra Leoneans in addition to creating employment for them.
According to Jagaban, he is in politics to help his less-fortunate compatriots underscoring that 65 years after independence, the country is still struggling with the provision of basic amenities like reliable electricity and water supply, good education, health care and roads lamenting that leadership is the major challenge affecting the country.
He further disclosed that he is supporting a lot of Sierra Leoneans in the United Kingdom and America, has four companies in America employing over 90 Sierra Leoneans affirming that helping the poor is his greatest joy and revealed that he has offered scholarships to students in prestigious universities and colleges at home and abroad he himself never attended.
This year, Jagaban sponsored 20 pilgrims to the Holy Land of Mecca while last year 10 were sponsored although they did not make it. He has established three locations in Freetown where food is provided to the needy. A bag of rice is cooked daily. Food is also provided to mosques upcountry every Friday. This is the same for prisoners.
Jagaban has schools in the country, pays teachers, nurses, Imams and Pastors. Bus Terminals will be constructed for his busses and when completed will be one of the best in Sierra Leone.
Jagaban has also promised to bring ferries to the country soon.
He appealed to Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora for their unflinching support to win the APC flag bearer race for the development of the country underscoring that he is sincerely committed to improve the lives of the people , assured that he would unite all the various tribes and regions in the country and that he has awakened the party in the Southeast for which people are now clamoring to join the APC.
According to Jagaban, cooked food is served to mosques in the regions on Fridays, that he has agents all over the country, that he supported his alma mater, the Prince of Wales with $50,000, bought 25 buses for $1.7 million, ploughing machines at $50,000 for 3,000 farmers and a garri processing machine valued at $70,000 all in an effort to empower his people with nothing expected in return.
He further underscored that the APC is bigger than all the aspirants and that the success of the party in the next elections must be the priority of all adding that if he loses the flag bearer elections, he would support the winner as long as the party is united to advance the country.
