Leader of the DIB Movement and leading All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer aspirant, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, has signed the Book of Condolence in honour of the late APC National Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, at the Freetown City Hall.
In a heartfelt tribute, Dr. Bangura described the late Mansaray as a distinguished statesman, committed party stalwart, and loyal servant of the people of Sierra Leone whose contributions to the APC and national development will remain enduring.
“It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I have received the news of the passing of Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, National Chairman of the All Peoples Congress (APC), a distinguished statesman, committed party stalwart, and loyal servant of the people of Sierra Leone,” Dr. Bangura wrote in the condolence register.
He noted that the late APC Chairman dedicated decades of his life to the service of the party, rising through its ranks from President of the then National Youth League to becoming one of the party’s most respected senior leaders, serving as Deputy Chairman and later National Chairman.
Dr. Bangura further highlighted Hon. Mansaray’s extensive public service record, which included serving as a Member of Parliament, Minister of Labour and Employment, Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, and a member of the APC National Advisory Council.
According to him, the late Chairman’s journey through Parliament, Cabinet, and the highest advisory structures of the APC reflected an unwavering commitment to the party’s ideals and the advancement of Sierra Leone.
He described Hon. Mansaray as a source of guidance, stability, and institutional memory within the APC, noting that his calm disposition, loyalty, and dedication to party unity earned him widespread respect across generations of party members.
“His contributions to governance and national development will remain an enduring part of his legacy,” Dr. Bangura stated.
On behalf of the DIB Movement, his family, and supporters, Dr. Bangura extended condolences to the bereaved family, friends, APC leadership and membership, and the people of Sierra Leone.
He called on mourners to draw inspiration from the late Chairman’s commitment to duty, devotion to party and country, and belief in selfless service.
Dr. Bangura concluded by praying for Almighty Allah to forgive the late APC Chairman’s shortcomings, reward his good deeds, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and provide strength and comfort to all those mourning his passing.
Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, who passed away on 15 June 2026, is being remembered across Sierra Leone for his longstanding service to the APC, his contributions to national governance, and his role in strengthening the country’s democratic process.
