Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Resource Management programme at AI-Professional College have raised serious allegations against the institution, citing academic fraud and breach of contract.
According to sources, the students were admitted with the understanding that they would pursue a degree in Human Resource Management a programme widely regarded as highly competitive and in demand in the job market. However, during a meeting held at the college on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the administration reportedly informed them that they would instead receive certificates in Business Administration.
“I am extremely disappointed and feel cheated,” said one of the affected students, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “I chose AI-Professional College because of its reputation and the specific programme in Human Resource Management. Now, they are telling me I have to settle for a Business Administration certificate. That is not what I signed up for.”
The students say they have formally raised their concerns with the college administration, but their complaints have not been adequately addressed. “They are making excuses and shifting blame, but the reality is they failed to deliver on their promise,” another student alleged.
The aggrieved students are now calling on the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and the Tertiary Education Commission to launch an investigation into the matter. They are also demanding that the institution award them the appropriate certificates or provide compensation for the financial losses and emotional distress they claim to have suffered.
The controversy has raised serious concerns about the integrity of AI-Professional College and the standard of education it offers. As calls for an investigation intensify, the future of the affected students remains uncertain.
Responding to the allegations on a WhatsApp conversation, the Principal of AI-Professional College, Alhaji Dr. F. M. Kallon, stated that he is currently in Accra undergoing medical treatment.
“I don’t want stress, please. I have just returned to my lodge, exhausted,” he said.
However, a formal letter was also sent to the college by Vantage Newspaper management to clarifies the allegations, but there is no respond up to the time of publication.
